Fund is warning that the Kovach 19 epidemic could already be putting the
fragile global economic recovery at risk calling its potential economic ripple
effects a real concern following a two-day meeting of g20 finance ministers
and central bank governors in Saudi Arabia Kristalina Georgieva said the
projected recovery as fragile the IMF projects a v-shaped rapid
recovery for the global economy but sided given the uncertainty around the
spread of the virus Georgieva urged financial leaders to prepare for more
adverse scenarios and while the world’s top 20 economic finance leaders to
expect a modest pickup in growth this year due to loosened monetary policy and
the easing of trade tensions they agreed to monitor the effects of the Kovach 19
epidemic
